BEAR CREEK

INDIAN CREEK
BASS FISHING SPOT

I have observed bass anglers fishing several spots on Pickwick Lake on a regular basis.  Also I have caught bass on some of these spots myself. One or two have been in the 5 lb. range but normally 2 to 3 pounds.

Located at the mouth of Indian Creek just out from the J.P. Coleman Park Motel. Line up on this tree and the spot will be about 100 to 150 yards from the bank.  Look for a big depth change.  Most set out and cast to the shallow water and reel to the deeper water.

Casting a crank bait along the edge of the break wall at J.P. Coleman State Park will occasionally produce a small bass or two.

Located just out of Yellow Creek heading north you will see the rock wall.  Good Drop about 100 to 150 yards from the rock wall.

Located just out of the mouth of Yellow Creek heading north look for the house on the first point.,  He was casting to the Marker and this tournament was held in June of 2000.  I seen 3 fish taken from this location during the 2 hours I watched. Below is the other spot I viewed this angler fishing during the tournament.

Located just inside the mouth of Yellow Creek out from Ten-Tom Marina.  The angler started here first and moved back and forth between the two spots for at least 2 hours.  He caught a bass on the second cast at this spot.
